Enchanting Collaboration with Cool Snow Globes

 I began working on a collaboration with Coolsnowglobes in the spring of 2025. 

The challenge was to create a replica of my delicate paper cut sculpture inside a glass globe measuring no more than 6cm x 6cm, while maintaining the level of intricacy at such a miniature scale. 

The design was tweaked, back and forth, until we found a design that works. 

My starting point was two birds nestled in the centre of a rose bough, which branches over to form the shape of a heart. 

The final design utilises both 2-d and 3-d elements, similarly to my fine paper-cut works.

The glittery snowflakes add a magical effect. 

I sense a childlike delight when shaking the dome and watching the sparkly snow settle.
